Community Support

Beyond our cultural celebrations, UAAUK is committed to providing practical support to community members and the public, particularly our elders and those facing challenges due to ill-health, financial hardship or disability.

 

We already have a small number of members who have made phone calls and made visits to persons who are ill, need transport or accompaniment to GP or hospital appointments, etc.  We will expand our group of volunteers from across the UK so that we can identify more individuals needing support and offer help at various locations in the country.

 

Activities like arranging coffee mornings or localised outings will form the basis of these smaller activities. We believe in caring for each other as an extended family, ensuring no one faces difficulties alone, combatting loneliness.
